Separate but equal will never be equal and will never work

The bible also clearly condemns working in the Sabbath and is to be punished by stoning the person to death. Are you to tell me that you have never worked on Sunday, oh holy and pious follower of the bible?
P.S. the bible also state that when a woman has her period the husband should sacrifice a goat otherwise she is unclean and that it's legal to sell you daughter into slavery. Chew on that one for a while and read you damn bible before you try to use it as a means of discrimination.

If u believe n God & His word,The bible. The bible clearly condemns homosexuality..1 Cor 6:9 "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals"
Lev 20:13 "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death."
Women & black's r human, gay is wrong, NO comparison

This is in response to
thetruthisoutnow's views on religion and atheism.

As a Christian I have to take issue with your stance, not because there is NO truth in what you say but because you are only telling a portion of the truth which is misleading. There is a fundamental difference between 'religion' and 'spirituality'. Religion is a tool like a hammer: it can build a house or crush a skull, it depends on whose wielding it. Spirituality, on the other hand, is the individual connection with God that only a rational, intellectual individual can cultivate.

the dictionary defines marriage as between a man and a woman. this is the only point i somewhat agree with mccain with; i'm voting for obama for other reasons. if gays want to be "married," i'm for it, but they can't call it marriage, because the act of the party being a same sex excludes them from that definition. they'd have to come up with another english term, by which the same union may be expressed, but with same sex couples. that way, everyone wins i suppose.

yay Ellen!Eloquently said! Marriage, not "contracts"!!
you should never let anyone else tell you what to decide, and especially if you are religious.Don't let your "faith" dictate what you think.

it isn't the same thing to have a social contract as it is to get married. brown vs. board determined that separate public facilities are inherently unequal. while this relates to school segregation, i see no reason why this can't apply to marriage as well. it is not equal to say that gay's can't be married, but can have social contracts.

Everything that' is today known to men about Christianity is completely and solely written by men.. The bible was written by men 400 years after the rumour started. Christianity and Jesus is a rumour nothing more!!!! |
